Rev. Mark has been the pastor of Christ Church since July, 2008.   A lawyer for 20 years, before hearing God's call into ministry, he graduated from Yale Divinity School and is ordained in the United Church of Christ. 

Previously he served as the Associate Minister of a church in Connecticut.  He and his wife Barbara have been married for 30 years and have grown twins, Sean and Blair.   A devoted Mets fan, he has learned the spiritual virtue of patience. 

Mark is especially interested in worship, small group ministry and always exploring ways to be the church God calls us to be.  The following are some excerpts from his statement of faith:

"I believe that people go to church to hear a word of hope and healing; to feel truly connected to a loving and caring community and to find a place where they can live out their faith in moving and real ways.  More and more in our day, I believe people are seeking something more fulfilling than what our culture tells us is good.  The church of our time needs to speak boldly about a different path and different way of seeing the world.

"I feel called to draw people closer to God and help those I pastor to find and use the gifts God has given them.  My own sense of being where God has now led me, using the gifts he has given me, is a wonderful one, and one I want others to feel.  The passion I feel being in such a place is what I feel called to help others find".

Kathleen Muller - Financial Secretary

After a career an an RN/Nurse Manager, Kathy and her newly retired teacher husband relocated to the Pawling area from Long Island, New York in 1999.  They were referred to Christ Church on Quaker Hill by a recently made acquaintance after sharing about their search for a home church.  They attended Worship Service the next Sunday and found "home". Some months following, a need arose for someone to fill in for the Administrator.  Kathy's management background fit. She loves working for her church, still fills in on administrative responsibilities where needed and serves as Financial Secretary performing Accounts Payable and Payroll duties for both the church and the church's nursery school.

Camille Ludington - Nursery School Director

Camille Ludington loves being the Director of Christ Church Nursery School.  She is a graduate of Marist College and has been teaching and directing pre-school for over 20 years! Camille lives in Pawling with her husband, Michael and their two sons, Andrew and Elliot.  In her free time she likes to read, garden and write and direct children's theater.

Carol Greiner is our special events coordinator. If you would like to have a wedding reception, anniversary party, memorial, etc. here at Christ Church on Quaker Hill, in the Thomas Center, you would contact Carol. Sue Johnsen - Wedding Coordinator

If you would like to be married here at Christ Church on Quaker Hill, Sue Johnsen is our wedding coordinator.  She will be able to help you plan your wedding in our beautiful, historical sanctuary. 

In addition to being our wedding coordinator, Sue works full time as a 4th grade teacher and is a former Sunday school teacher and member of the Christ Church singers. Sue is married with three children and one grandchild.
